the desire
started
with my first SLR
a Pentax K1000
and a photography class
the fire
began burning
earlier this year
when Nik entered my life
and finally
the passion
for photography
wrapped its arms around me
and caressed my soul
wrapped its arms around me
and caressed my soul

i always enjoying reading posts!
Man, how sad is it that I can't think of something I am super passionate about? I do like judging celebrities a lot.
ReplyDeleteWhat a wonderful shot!
ReplyDeleteI'm just starting to enjoy photography. It'll be a long time before I really get a handle on what my camera can do.
ReplyDeleteMy passion? Getting physically fit..walking...eating right...losing weight! This is my passion right now. That and collage or mixed media!

My true passion is being covered in dirt and surrounded by plants - nothing is more satisfying than creating gardens!
ReplyDeleteI am now developing a relationship with a camera ~ it's my daughter's digital camera, but just seeing the world around me from the vantage of point of capturing it in a beautiful way is new and exciting to me right now.
ReplyDeleteI've been so inspired by the many women doing this so brilliantly in their own blog sites, I now desire to enrich my own words with pictures I've taken myself.
So, thank you for sharing your passion as you do - for it is likely making a difference in the lives of people in ways you do not imagine!
Sorry I wasnt able to play along today .. but I do think your passion is very close to mine tho I started out on my Dad's beloved Rolieflex
ReplyDeleteOh yes! You took the words right out of my mouth! I've been spending this past year growing more and more in love with my Nikon and more passionate with photography too! Just ask my kids. : )
ReplyDeleteGreat picture too -- I've got a k1000 tucked away in my hall closet too. And it has an awesome macro lens that I can't use with my d90. : (
I LOVE that photo! Photography is also one of my passions, as is writing. But somehow my post become more about love. Go figure :)
ReplyDeleteGreat post! I remember as a child hauling my dads huge canon around in a case with all of it's lenses. I knew how to work that thing better than he did! I have just re-kindled my passion for photography in the last couple of years. Can't figure out why I took such a long break :)
ReplyDeleteAmy ~ for me it's because of digital photography ~ now everything is in the photographer's hands.
ReplyDeleteI gather the K1000 is an antique now?
ReplyDeleteI get passionate about science and technology at times but everyone is different regarding levels of passion.
Acting for sure. Women chasing second :P
ReplyDeleteMy passion is cooking and I have the hips to prove it :-)
ReplyDeleteLOVE your photo Jill.
I have a passion for reality tv, lol does that count?
ReplyDeleteJillsy, thank you for your One Word Wednesdays that force me to think, instead of just pour stuff out of my head. I'm grateful your passion is photography because it has helped re-kindle my own photography passion. Thank you!!
ReplyDeleteThat's passion for me too. And working with kids. And writing. And reading. And my husband. And my son.
ReplyDeleteAlso, this is an AMAZING capture of a camera. You can see it's soul and stories it can tell. I love, LOVE photography.
ReplyDeleteJTDG, again!!
